How Do You Retouch Headshots?

Cameron Kaplan Female Phoenix Headshot

One questions that I get all the time is “how much retouching do you do?” and the answer is; as little as possible.

When I am photographing you professional headshots I try to get it correct in the camera; correct exposure, correct lighting, correct cropping. Yes, Photoshop is a great tool and I use it often to help make images even more awesome. Below are a few images, from my Basic Headshot sessions, showing what I capture in the camera and the final retouched image.

You can order images to be digitally retouched as an add on to your session. Each image you order is then given the highest level of attention to reduce and remove wrinkles and blemishes as well as stray hairs and dark circles. The key is to enhance the image without making you look fake.
